Real Madrid showed alot of class to comeback from an aggregate score of 5-3 to defeat City 6-5.
Real Madrid came into today’s match with a 4-3 first leg deficit to overturn at The Bernabeu. The first leg could have been anything but City conceded a goal via a penalty and that goal proved decisive today.
The game was cagey in the first half with both teams taking things slow and avoiding mistakes. It wasn’t until the second half the game came to life. On 73 minutes RiyadM scored a well taken goal, hitting a powerful left footed shot past Courtois at his near post.
Anxiety crawled into the Bernabeu as it looked like their team was bowing out. Jack Grealish had 2 great chances to increase City’s lead but a great save by Courtois and an off the line clearance saved Madrid’s blushes.
It wasn’t until the 90th minute the Bernabeu had a reason to cheer after 21 years old Brazilian Rodrygo equalised on the night before completing his brace a minute later. Benzema can’t stop scoring as he converted the penalty he won on 95 mins ET. The Galacticos held on to seal another famous comeback win.

This win sends Madrid to the final to face Jurgen Klopp’s army, Liverpool in Paris. Liverpool dragged the “Yellow Submarines” out of water beating them 5-3 on aggregate. This sets a replay of 2018 champions league finals played at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv, Ukraine on 26 May 2018 with Madrid winning on that occasion.
Who do you think will win this? Will Liverpool have their revenge? Or will Madrid continue their amazing run? What do you think?
