The Senegalese scored the second goal of the game against the yellow submarines in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League at Anfield. The goal he scored took his Champions League tally to 14 goals equalling Didier Drogba’s Record.
The feat means Mane and Drogba are the Africans with the most goals in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
Mohamed Salah’s assist for Sadio Mané was the seventh time the pair have combined for a goal in the UEFA Champions League; the joint-most of any duo for English teams in the competition, equalling Wayne Rooney & Ryan Giggs and Mohamed Salah & Roberto Firmino.
